🪐 A FEW WORDS ABOUT RETRO-MERCURY

👉 Mercury retrograde is its apparent reverse movement relative to the Earth. In reality, it both rotated and continues to rotate in its orbit. In astrology, it is assumed that the “reverse” movement of Mercury causes disruptions and interference in the areas of life for which it is responsible.

😀 Most consider this phenomenon profanation and quackery, but facts, as Woland said, are the most stubborn thing in the world.

👉 In life, Mercury retrograde manifests itself in the difficulties of mutual understanding and communication, interference in the operation of electronics, and errors in document management.

📈 From the point of view of financial markets, Mercury retrograde is a real cheater. This period is characterized by spontaneous breakthroughs of important levels and unexpected sharp reversals, frequent multidirectional price movements, frequent stops and misfires on targets. The number of false trading signals is much higher than usual.

📉 The period is accompanied by conflicting political and economic data and statements, which may lead to sudden fluctuations in financial markets. Ideally, at this time it is advisable to take profits ahead of target levels. The period is more suitable for aggressive short-term trading at intervals of a couple of days.

☝️ Major markets that do not complete the market cycle until the Mercury retrograde period will likely reach the bottom of their cycle in the middle of the retrograde period. Here the Sun conjuncts Mercury. Additionally, major market extremes often occur at the beginning, middle, and end of a retrograde period. Overall, this is a very useful leading indicator.

A couple of recent examples:

1️⃣ Top of the basic cycle for gold April 12, 2024 - fell exactly in the middle of the last retrograde period of Mercury.

2️⃣ Top base cycle for the US stock market April 1, 2024 - fell exactly on the first day of Mercury retrograde.
